Southern Waters – bringing together people, systems and services to deliver safe, reliable, sustainable water for our southern communities.

We supported the Local Water Done Well Southern Joint CCO Steering Committee in presenting options for future water service delivery and consulting with stakeholders and communities across the lower South Island. This included tailored materials for Gore District Council, Central Otago District Council, Clutha District Council, and Waitaki District Council.

The project required a clear, trusted, and consistent visual approach to help communicate complex information in an accessible way across multiple councils and channels.

We developed a cohesive visual identity that could be applied consistently across councils while remaining clear, neutral, and community-focused. The design system supported both formal consultation requirements and approachable public-facing communication.

The result was a unified suite of materials that supported consultation, built trust, and helped communities engage with the Local Water Done Well process. The identity ensured clarity across both digital and print touchpoints, while allowing each council’s information to be presented clearly and consistently.
