THE DETAILS
The Gore District Council Initiative Rethinking Waste campaign has set out to engage the folks in and around Gore about how waste is consumed and how to bring about change.
It’s a collaborative, action-based approach designed to encourage participation and feedback.
Together the community can work with the council to assess the current consumption, and re-think waste, ultimately creating workable solutions for long-term change.
The brief
Our brief was to develop a logo for the campaign along with other marketing collateral including custom illustrations, social media template design, poster and advert design.
Our talented Virtual Creative Collective kicked off the design concepts into gear. Sarah-Jayne from Lemonface Design developed the striking logo for the initiative which kicked off in September 2021.
Then in 2022 working in collaboration with Niki, the team came up with the idea to create a range of different personas that represented some familiar Gore folks: Farmer Bill, Mechanic Tania, Tradie Raniera, and Mum Fiona.
We used the personas to create illustrated posters to help start the conversation with folks in and around Gore to talk about ways they can think about waste.
It was a solid team collaboration where we were able to pool our skills to bring the project to life.
Briar from Studio B created the custom designed hand drawn stunning illustrations. Including the caricature of Niki, the front-woman for the community hui’s.
Sarah Crispin-Naish from Crispin Creative Design handled the project management and created the social post designs.
