Crispin Design partnered once again with Gore District Council to reinvigorate the On The Fly Festival branding for 2025. The goal was to inject new energy into the existing logo and marketing assets – creating a brighter, more contemporary feel while staying true to the festival’s identity.

We introduced a vivid, summer-themed colour palette that enhanced the iconic yellow and gave the event branding a more festive, inclusive tone. The updated design celebrates the spirit of the festival: a mix of fly fishing, food, music, and community connection.

To bring the event to life across platforms, we delivered a full suite of digital marketing materials, including screen ads, web banners, social media assets, and a customised email signature to encourage organic sharing. The illustration elements were crafted for flexibility – optimised to work across both portrait and landscape formats with minimal rework, allowing the council to apply them seamlessly across different channels.

With its refreshed visuals and cohesive digital presence, the 2025 On The Fly Festival branding helped Gore District Council generate buzz and increase visibility across both traditional and online media. The bright, friendly aesthetic welcomed a wider audience while maintaining a strong connection to the festival’s roots on the banks of the Mataura River.
